Our theme for November is “Basic Styles” and the entries for this week’s design challenge were inspired by the theme of “Elegant”.

Finally after about 6 different variations here is my Elegant Kyanite & Freshwater Pearl Necklace. I love the combo - the blue with the white looks like a fancy night out. I ended it with a bit of blingy magnetic clasp.

This stunning Black Swarovki Crystal necklace has a focal Swarovski Crystal that is 30mm, a rhinestone ball and drops from a silvertone chain with a toggle clasp. It dresses up your entire outfit, from a pantsuit you wear to work to a cocktail dress for a special occasion.

This was made using beads out of Delica Rose seed beads in a Peyote Stitch. The natural rhodonite cabochon is attached with a beaded bezel and netted stitch. Then I strung pearls to finish it off.

I can't think of anything more elegant for a wedding than an ornate cuff bracelet, dripping with adornments! This lovely work of art started out as an aluminum blank cuff. By adding lots of lace, Swarovski beads, little metal birds and two dragonflys, what started out as sterile, turned into the most beautiful wedding bracelet - tastefully fine and dignified - in style and design. And, I had a ball making it!

I fused fine silver to make a bracelet chain then added a white freshwater pearl dangle to compliment the dark patina of the metal.

The focals of these "elegant" beaded dangle earrings are frosty white venetian glass bicones. I added drops of light sapphire blue Swarovski pearls and crystals to the tops. On sterling silver leverback ear wires.

These earrings feature rare vintage Swarovski crystal Diorin rhinestone ovals that remind me of canary yellow diamonds. I complimented the rhinestones with Swarovski crystal bicones and teardrops, rhinestone chain and seed beads. (Laura, I wish I had a better photo, I am testing a camera....dropped mine lens down...need I say more?)

Inspired by the Victorian "Painted Ladies" houses in the town of Ferndale, in Northern California, and the white lace and Boston fern filled parlors I imagined them to host. Peridot, Serpentine Jade, Italian glass, button pearls, and Keishi pearls, on gold plated branches.

I have had these silver filigree pieces for years and never knew what to use them for. I decided they would make great chandelier earrings and added some simple sparkling beads to them.
