SQAURES March Week 1 Geometric Theme SRAJD Jewelry Challenge

So here we are at the end of our first challenge week.  The SRAJD members were challenged to design a piece of jewelry with the geometric theme of squares.  Click here to see a refresher of our 2014challenges.

Without further ado, here are the designs for our first week:

Cindy Devine of Devine Designs Jewelry

Pamela Traub of Klassy Joolz

Kim Forrer of Kim ForrerDesigns
“The new color pattern I came up with playing with inks was my inspiration for this peek a boo piece.

Nathalie Lesage of CanadianRockies Art
“Squar(ish) texture on Square Copper Drops, hanging on Square wire heavy jumprings :) I love, love, love the mixture of copper and turquoise/blue/green color combos. I had to use copper :)”

Carol Evans of C. Evans Designs
“Trying something a bit different.... soft sweet color of green enamel on copper with dark metallic black rings. I wanted the straight geometric lines of the square broken up a bit with the circle cutout and rings. Modern and minimal.

Laura Bracken of Bracken Designs
"My first time setting a square stone.  This is a natural garnet set into Hadar's White Satin metal.  I added a darkening agent and didn't polish to a mirror finish because this will be part of my new Medieval line."

Nohline L'Ecuyer of Nohline L'Ecuyer
"Silver clay with Keum Boo in 23k Gold; antique bone bead; bone bead tied on with square knots; tiny African beads for necklace."

Barb Naas of StoneThat Flows

“Inspiration ia snowflakes :) Fused Glass with one of my handmade ceramic children's face cab's.”

Jo Pound of Jewelryby Jolane

“This pendant is made entirely with small squares (it measures 3 1/2 by 4 1/2") which has another layer joined together by?....... More squares! The double layer makes it more substantial.

Ronni Eloff of Vamp Kitty Designs
“The piece is called Hopscotch. Russian Amazonite chunky square pebbles with Black Obsidian 14 x 14mm puffed square, surrounded by vermeil flower spacers and gold plated 5mm squares. It comes with matching bracelet and earrings. This was a fun piece to design.”

Julie Cleveland of Blue Morning Expressions
“These beads have been faceted to expose the mica properties of the gold and pearl handmade polymer beads. This piece was gifted to the stylist of 2 Broke Girls for consideration on the show.”

Tina Faxas of Jewelry by Maree

Dina Nazario of Dazzling Designs by Dina

Bonnie Jacobsen of BDJDesigns
