Our theme for July was “Iconic Painters” and the entries for this blog post were inspired by theme of “overall iconic painters ”.

We only had one jewelry artist rise to the challenge.

Jo Pound of Jewelry by Jolane
I did a bead embroidery bracelet to represent the iconic painters. If you look close you can see Rousseau represented by the palm tree in the jungle. The Picasso is represented by the abstract face found in some of his most famous paintings. Piet Mondrian does the paintings in red, blue, black, and yellow using lines, squares and rectangles. Last but not least is Leonid Afremov who uses blue and gold in his paintings of cities and the countryside.

That bracelet of Jo's is just sensational...the intricacy of design, the workmanship and the thought process that brought this piece to life says so much about her artistic talent. Kudos to her!
