After watching one of the Lord of the Rings movies I was inspired to create this necklace with the beautiful lampwork tulip that I have had for awhile waiting for an inspiration. I call it Springtime in Middle Earth.

"Teetering" - I always wanted to make some 'mobile' earrings and so I have the Earth and the Moon teetering in fine balance or are we slightly off kilter? Lampwork and sterling silver.

I like to find new ways to hold gemstones in place these days, and so today, for the Earth Challenge, I thought that making copper holding 'hooks' out of sheet metal would be neat :-) I've wire wrapped squarish Pietersite gemstones in place. To me, Pietersite is a great stone to represent the Earth given the gorgeous shades of golden amber, rustic burned reds and hints of greens and blues. The turquoise accent represents the oceans and the sky. The little round copper bead near the top represents the Earth in space.

The Earth element makes me think first of lush green growing things. I made these rustic sunflower beads with matcha (green tea) in polymer clay. Earthy, organic, full of antioxidants.

I went pretty literal on this one, making something reminiscent of my “In the Garden” line.  This bronze planter houses a feather and moss arrangement in miniature.
