The following events are for active SRAJD members. If you make jewelry and sell it yourself, considering joining the fun. We are an international, non-juried, grassroots organization for self-representing artists in jewelry design.
Time-Sensitive Events (scroll down for “Static
Events” and "Calendar")
Weekly Topics
We will have weekly topics of discussion, the interactive
portion of which will take place on our main Facebook discussion page. As often as possible, I will enlist experts
and experienced jewelry artists to provide insight and information on the
weekly topics. Portions of these
discussions will be reposted to our SRAJD blog and/or the members only section
of the SRAJD website. To see the weekly
topics, click
here or scroll to the bottom of this page.
Monthly Challenges
We will have monthly jewelry designs challenges. One weekly topic each month is dedicated to
the subject of the monthly challenge. Rather than prizes and judging, the reward will be each artist challenging themselves to try new techniques. This is also a great opportunity for more traffic to your website as each entry is accompanied by your name and a link to your shop. To see the monthly challenge
themes, click
here. To enter the monthly challenge
themes, click
here or scroll to the bottom of this page.
Charity Project
I don’t have a plan for this yet, but I would like us to
take part in a charity event of some sort.
Exchange and Make
Swap
Interested parties will exchange components and create items
from what their partner sends. Dates to
be announced later.
Continue our Holiday
Gift Guide
The chance to advertise your website(s) to many people in
many venues. To see our first Holiday

Static Events
SRAJD Blog:
Our blog is a great place to
start. 2014 was jam-packed with themed
creations from our weekly challenges. If
you want to check out the inspiring designs, just start browsing through the
pages. In 2015, we will be adding more
technically informative blog posts as well as snippets of discussion on various
jewelry-making topics.
SRAJD Facebook Pages
Our Main Discussion Page:
Here is where all the chit chat
happens before it goes anywhere else. If
you want to be at the forefront of the happenings, this is the place to
be. This group page is for discussions
of anything related (and occasionally not related) to the jewelry making
business. We ask questions, we share
inspiration, we discuss technique, etc.
This is a private group, so outsiders can’t see what we discuss or share.
Our Fan Page:
AKA our “FB Business Page”. Here is where you will show the public your
creations. Active SRAJD members are
encouraged to share two of their listings per day. You post the URL to your listing and by the
next morning I will have transferred it to the main timeline where everyone can
see it. Get interactive too! The more we share, like, and comment on posts
from our fan page, the more these posts will show up on the timelines of our
friends and then friends of friends, etc.
Our SEO Page:
Where we discuss search engine
optimization.
Our Photography Page:
Where we discuss issues related to
cameras, photography, and photo editing.
Our Critique Page:
Where you can get a critique of
your online shop and help others by offering insight into theirs.
Our Destash Page:
Where you can get rid of some of
your excess supplies and/or pick up some great deals from other SRAJD members.
Our Etsy Treasuries Page:
Where we promote our Etsy shops
through treasuries and other activities.
SRAJD Pinterest
Boards
Active members post two links a day to their online
